SEC Week 3 Predictions

Doing the SEC picks separately from LSU / Auburn analysis and pick this week because the Wisdom is still percolating on the LSU game. More on that later.

On to the SEC action this week. No. 6 Florida at No. 17 Tennessee: The Crocs are still largely untested after warmups with Southern Miss and UCF, so it”s hard to put stock in their numbers to this point. And Tennessee”s split personality in blowing out Cal before almost losing to Air Force doesn”t inspire a lot of confidence. I think it”ll come down to the Vols still being young and the Crocs having the talent and coaching to exploit that Tennessee youth. And Tennessee hasn”t finished either game well, which is key in big SEC games. Crocs 31 – 27

Arkansas at Vandy: Don”t expect the Hogs to screw around like Alabama did against the “Dores. Grind it out on the ground. Hogs 24 – 10

Ole Miss at Kentucky: Wow. Ugly. Who”s worse here … I”m going to homer it for the West. Rebels 13 – 9

UAB at UGA: The five-week pre-Tennessee tuneup continues for the Dawgs. That may be the biggest thing they have going for them this year. Dawgs 42 – 10

Tulane at Mississippi State: The Greenies lost 45 – 7 to Houston. That wouldn”t be so bad if it was the NFL team in Houston. It wasn”t. Bulldogs 9 – 3

Wofford at South Carolina: Cockwalk. Cocks 31 – 10

ULM at Alabama: You may know them as Northeast Louisiana, but just call them beaten. Tide 27 – 6
