Yes, I”m such an LSU freak that I have the webcam image of Tiger Stadium”s construction affixed to my XP desktop. For the unenlightened among you, LSU is replacing the old west-side upper deck with a fancy new west-side upper deck.
I won”t bore you with nostalgic ramblings about the “new section” - my dad bought season seats on the 50-yard-line in the deck”s second row back when it was the cool new place to sit (ca. 1978). Those were the seats we had when we did the whole motor-home thing, had pre-game visits from Woody Dumas and once from Charlie Mac himself and would come very close to death as my drunk father drove the motor home down Highland Road after the game.
OK, so the nostalgia came out … but I”ll stop short of mentioning the old home for Mike The Tiger that”s about to be torn down and reminiscing about the morning I spent in it with Mike V as a cub …

Anyway, I captured the image below from this morning.
Kind of nice, isn”t it? The sun shining through the ribs of the deck after the seat structure has come down; gaggle of cranes reaching toward the sky …
